Random Things to Love this Week
If you are a Notes app user (I use an iPhone, and am not sure whether this type of app exists on Android or other devices?), you will appreciate the thoughts shared in this piece by Katy Waldman in Slate: Karaoke Songs, Sex Lists, Random Lines of Poetry: How Do We Use iPhone’s Notes App? (BTW, I have only recently joined the 21st century by using the term “app” for the longer, what-I-thought-was-correct, term “application.” It’s sometimes easier to just give up and join rather than fight.)
I especially love the following bit from this article.
I came across this collection of photographs by Andy Prokh about a year ago, and recently revisited it because the photos make me smile. The cat’s name is LiLu Blue Royal Lada!
Here's one of my favorites from the collection.
3D-printed gummies are real and you can eat them is a fun story I stumbled upon just today. Admittedly, I do not exactly understand how 3D printers work. And I would welcome the opportunity to see one up close and personal. But I can imagine the joy this new technology can bring to children and adults alike.
The most critical sentence in this story: It's appropriately called the Magic Candy Factory (emphasis added). Watch the quick minute-and-a-half video to learn how the process works. I may be booking a trip to Berlin soon!
